Our engineering staff has had over 40 years of experience in designing ammonia systems.  With professional engineers and a solid engineering staff, Cool Air can create its own designs and is licensed to install it.  Our core groups of engineers have worked with many plant engineers and maintenance staff to build ammonia systems.  We can draw out floor plans, mechanical room layouts, valve groups, and piping risers for our designs on Autocad that can be printed out or emailed to your staff at anytime. 

Once project planning has begun, our engineering department will always start with load calculations for your system design.  By taking into account loads from food product, equipment, lights, people, defrost cycles, fan motors, infiltration from surrounding spaces, and envelope heat gains through building walls we can determine the cooling loads for your facility.  Once the tons of refrigeration for each space are known we can determine the amount of evaporators, compressors, condensers, and vessels to create a complete ammonia system.  With energy conscious design decisions Cool Air can help create a state of the art ammonia system or improve the existing system you currently have running. 

Another key aspect of our engineering staff is the ability to design a job with complete drawings and be able to estimate the cost to install it immediately.  Through our state of the art piping takeoff software we can determine the amount of pipe, fittings, and man hours it will take for a complete installation of your project.  Therefore, we can not only provide you with a solid design we can provide you with the cost to install it.  This is always helpful when determining budgetary numbers for potential projects for your facility.  This also allows us to break out certain aspects of the project if so desired to magnify costs for that part of the project. 

We always want the end user to be happy with our designs and their satisfaction is our number one goal.  Knowing what the end user wants is obviously an important factor that goes into our designs.  Our engineering staff will work hard to accomplish their goals both safely and economically.
